3:33 WEILER works like radio enriched with elements: drone recordings, slideshows, videos and photos, audio documents with instructions, poems and pieces of music. The focus is on the two dwell phases of 1 minute and 11 seconds and 2 minutes and 22 seconds. The sum of these two dwell times, which cannot be skipped, gave the app its name: 3:33 HAMMET. The app invites you to relax and immerse yourself in something. You can visit a single place with 3:33 WEILER - as a short break in your everyday life - or combine a few places into a journey of discovery. Staying in one place takes about 10 minutes. At each location, the app offers you instructions to explore the location more carefully and learn more about yourself. After you have selected the location on the map or from a list, text and images will tell you where exactly you should go. An audio then provides initial information about the location and you can get an overview with a drone recording. The first audio ends with a question and leads to a silence of 1 minute and 11 seconds. This invites you to dwell on your questions and perceptions. Another audio opens up an expanded or deeper experience. In the following period of 2 minutes and 22 seconds you can pursue these experiences. A third audio brings together the thoughts and concludes with the request to describe your experience in one word. This is posted in a cloud. You can also share this word on social media or have it sent to you via email. Staying at the place ends with a wayword that you can listen to.3:33 WEILER was created from a collaboration between Katholisch Stadt Zürich and the Cast/Audiovisual Media department at the ZHdK.3:33 WEILER works map-based or with a list that leads the user to the 33 places. When used for the first time, the location services for the APP must be turned on. It is recommended to activate the notification function. Use headphones for an optimal listening experience.
